Event Description

Zay D. Green's classes based on her book "Christianity and Black Oppression: Duppy Know Who Fe Frighten" starts on Tuesday, July 16th*.
Harlem Humanists is very happy to support and promote this. Well worth repeating. Please forward and share it too.
The course runs for 5 sessions; meeting each Tuesday at 7:30 pm until August 13th. The class is well structured and isn't only an exploration of the book. In many ways it's a jumping off point for exploring self-image, agency, race and cast dynamics. In the class you'll look at open secrets and cloaked histories on matters of Diaspora theology, struggles within theodicy and liberation philosophy. You'll also look at another context for underdevelopment and pursuit of economic justice. This course will also move beyond the colonialized (or post-colonial) mind to look at future possibilities for ethics driven critical thinking.

You can register here. Cost is a sliding scale. So for less per class than going to the movies, you can really flex your mind.
