I realize money is money but...
..."and I'm a Moronmon" banners at the top of the page is such a breath of fresh vomit...
ha, freethinkers, heatseekers, tiz so!
Love that phrase SC13. "such a breath of fresh vomit..."
I think it's a shame... I welcome theists to argue and post stuff on my site.
You don't have to get on religious forums to argue with religious people. Just get on The Vine, Huffington Post or most any news forum and go at it. I warn you, you will be outnumbered and it will be vicious.
There is a site where you can debate with people of other religions. I was on it for about a week and found it so full of bodily fluids, with little content I left.
A hundred years ago, when I was a teacher, some of my students had wretched vocabulary, spelling, and content. One little boy had all these, but brushing aside all the stinking bodily fluid talk, the kid told an incredible story. I took him to an English professor at the college from which I graduated with a file of his stories and poetry. The teacher agreed! This kid had a story to tell and needed to be read by others.
Sadly, a couple of years later, he was shot and killed robbing a store. Randy I miss you.
I've heard about this sort of thing, but I haven't been on here long enough to notice any of it.
What's the point? I just don't see their motivation for doing it. Is it just to read what we say when the fundies aren't looking? Do they think they can infiltrate the discussion and influence us without us noticing? Do they see a huge cluster of atheists and think it's proselytization time, and that we won't ban them back to the DOS Age for violating the agreement they signed upon joining?
I just don't get it. What do they even do when they get on here?
Don't you know they are mandated by their religion to go forth and convert everyone in the world? Why do you think the JW's are knocking on your door every Saturday morning? Why do you think the Mormon youth are riding around on their bicycles in white shirts with black pants and ties? And they are very subtle. They choose a topic that is controversial and disguise their religious ideals under some kind of ethical mode. If you are concerned for your ID, You may wish to use a nick name.
