Amusing Responses You Got From People When You Came Out About Being An Atheist.

I thougt It would be interesting to see some of the more comical responses people have received upon coming out. I'll start things off with my favorite.

I was about 16 and a guy in class found out that I didn't believe in god and he came up to me and asked

Boy: "So do you really not believe in god"

Me: "No."

Boy: "So.... You worship the devil?!"

I got this one in one form or another many times..... Gotta love the bible belt! :)

The one that annoys me most: "I'll pray for you". Grrrrrrrr.
I usually respond with," And I'll think for you."
Oh, that's good...
ooo, I like, alot. mind if I steal this and use it?
Fine by me. I got it from other people smarter than myself. LOL
Man, that's good.
stealing it
When I told my parents I was an atheist their first reaction was "who have you been talking to?!?!"

As if I couldn't come up with that conclusion on my own, someone had to INFLUENCE me. It's sad, really.
I know, when my parents found out I was atheist, first they blamed my ex for being so bad to me. Then they blamed my second husband for putting false thoughts into my head. It took them a long time to figure out that it was my own thinking that got me here!
My parents never stopped blaming my husband too, and my dear old communist father-in-law. It never occurred to them that I was an atheist long before I met my husband.
Me: Dad, I'm an atheist

Dad: Yeah, I know. ...And?

Thanks, Dad. I love you.
