Apocryphal Flood Coming To A Big Screen Near You - Noah At The Movies

While wasting time that I could have been using for more productive purposes, I came across a new movie that is schedule for release next year. The title says is all.

Starring Russel Crowe as our intrepid mariner, the film by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) portrays the descendant of Adam and Eve as an ancient environmentalist. If this is correct, it will be a great "historical" white washing for YWHW and the "snit" he had with humanity and all of life on the planet. Rather than an accurate portrayal of "Da Sky Boss" as a petulant 5 year old who tired of his ant farm, and flushed the contents down the crapper, the blame for the cataclysm will rest on the heads of the ants, err umm, people, who didn't care for the land.

Strangely enough, Christians are decrying this movie as a gross misinterpretation of the Big Book of Jewish and Christian Fairy Tales, a/k/a "The Bible." For once, I've got to agree with them.  C'mon Aronofsky! At least give credit where credit is due. Pol Pot in Cambodia, Stalin in the USSR, Hitler in Auschwitz, and YWHW in neolithic Mesopotamia.

But, there might be hope for this cinematic endeavor. Maybe it will finally let us know how the kangaroos made it from Mt. Ararat to Australia.

It would be nice if they went to the origins of the story, being the Sumerian "Epic of Gilgamesh." And, quite frankly, the ancient flood story along the Tigris and Euphrates that gave rise to the Gilgamesh tale, and which originated with the tale of King Ziusudra of Shuruppak.

RE: the kangaroos.  The answer is simple: they jumped.

Across the Java Sea, The Timor Sea, and the Arafuro Sea? Didn't know their feet doubled as water skis.

No another Noah movie. A film based on myth.

Sounds like a sci fi movie, or fantasy.  Might be fun.
