I have lived the last twenty years living around LA, the mountains, the desert, in the city and finally three years at the beach. The beach was the best. Now I have moved back to the midwest a little town in south eastern Minnesota. Rolling hills of corn. Manny different smells that I haven't had the chance to enjoy in LA.
Very relaxing. I think that while atheists are not ostracized like in parts of the south, they are looked at as another fringe group. There are quite a few around.

Ronnie, welcome to A/N.
While I was at the University of Florida in Gainesville I rented a room in a home owned by an elderly couple who'd grown up in Georgia. From them I heard this: People in Georgia don't dream of going to Heaven when they die; they dream of going to Atlanta.
Some people need Xianity; they didn't.
