In a Feb. 7 article entitled "Bless me iPhone for I have sinned," the Reuters news service revealed that the Catholic Church in the US and UK has for the first time given its approval to an iPhone app.

The new app, available through iTunes for $1.99 in the US and £1.19 in the UK, is called Confession and it "walks Catholics through the sacrament and contains what the company behind the program describes as a "personalized examination of conscience for each user'".

What an incredible load of horseshit!  All this does is use a new mechanism to attempt to tie catholics to the same old, outdated and irrelevant crap they've been hawking for the past 2,000 years.

Anyone care to bet that this app has next to NO interest among iPhone users?
