For Daily Show fans, here's a news release from the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

"Don't Miss FFRF on the Daily Show Tonight!

March 8, 2010

Dan Barker will appear tonight on behalf of the Freedom From Religion Foundation in the "fake news" segment of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." The show airs on Comedy Central at 11 Eastern/10 Central

If you cannot catch the show tonight, you can watch it the next day on "The Daily Show" website at

Occasionally, segments are bumped at the very last minute, but hopefully you will see us tonight!

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, based in Madison, Wis., is a national association of freethinkers (atheists, agnostics) that has been working since 1978 to keep church and state separate."

Here is the specific clip:

It didn't make Barker or FFRF come off in a positive light, but it is a comedy show and that is what they do.
Thanks for posting the link! Yes, I was rather frustrated at how he came out in the video. They could have made it funny *and* let him get his point across. I've heard him speak on the issue, so I know that he can make a convincing argument. But like you said, the goal is comedy, not information.

Hopefully at least some people who didn't know about FFRF have heard about it now and will see what they're about, and some of the more curious in the viewing audience may look into whether or not Mother Teresa was really all she was cracked up to be as a humanitarian (which she wasn't: forcing religion on the people she treated, crusading against reproductive rights, etc.)
