Just a reminder to everyone. Tomorrow, October 23rd, is the birthday of the world. Happy Birthday World!!! The planet will be celebrating it's 6,016th birthday. According to that wonderful Biblical scholar, Bishop Ussher of Ireland, God created the world on October 23, 4004 B.C., at 9:00 a.m. That is, of course, if you count back the generations of the men and women of the Bible. And, here's one of my all-time favorite commentaries on this, from the movie Inherit the Wind.
Are you crashing a birthday party we aren't invited to? Sounds like fun!
Haven't watched Spencer Tracy in ages - he was a classic.
"The bible is a book ... it is a good book ... but it is not the only book."
How many people have we run onto who would assert that it might as well be the ONLY book, the only one they deign to treat as authoritative, as regards matters cosmological or evolutionary?
Cue the Minchin!...
In the words of that southern comedian, Ron White, "You can't cure stupid."
Certainly not DETERMINED stupid, no...
