A Sacramento pastor, Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church, responded to the Orlando shooting that killed 49 people and injured 50 with praise. Jimenez preached to his congregation that they should not be grieving the homosexual victims of the shootings, comparing those killed to pedophiles.
"Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today? Um no. I think that’s great. I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job – because these people are predators. They are abusers."
"they deserve what they got.""I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put the firing squad in front of them and blow their brains out,"
~ Roger Jimenez, pastor, Sacramento Verity Baptist ChurchHate comes in all forms of religion, in fundamentalist religions, in white and black people and communities.
"We are a young church with a desire to reach the people of Sacramento and its surrounding area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
"The word "verity" simply means "truth". It is our desire to be a church where the message is never watered down or compromised. We strive to be a church where you can come and learn the truths of God’s word.
"We are an independent, fundamental, soul winning, separated, King James Bible believing Baptist church--and not ashamed to say so.

It's not hard to see why Christianity is slowly going out of the picture at an increasing rate.
A perfect model of what true Christianity is - a death cult.
This jackass actually made it onto the CBS Evening News today. Much as I would love to see that jerk get his, what I actually wish for is that one day, he finds himself in a circumstance where He Owes His Life To a Gay Person.
That would work just fine in my book.
I think you're right. Hate is even blinder than love.
Larry, I lived in SF during the 1980s when Jerry Falwell was spewing his hatred for gays, and many gay men said they were sure Falwell was a closet gay.
I believe that every person is a closet gay or lesbian in their minds. How they react openly to those who are gay or lesbian is a reflection on how the subconscious received the information. I'm not saying that everyone is bisexual, just that the thought and the idea is there. It's whether you act on it or not. Now to screw this all up, all you have to do is add religion.
I disagree, Mike. I honestly have no thoughts, nor did I ever, about sex with another male. We have several gay and lesbian friends, but I've never had sexual thoughts about them.
I totally understand, Donald. You missed my point though. I've also never had sexual thoughts about individual males. I've never wondered about Bob, Charlie, or even Arnold. My same sex thoughts were an awareness of the possibility and have never become personal. Again, for example, I have never thought that a man has "a sexy ass" or "pretty eyes." To have those thoughts is to actually take it a step farther.
