I joined this site in June, but I deactivated my account after about a week because I felt I had nothing to contribute here and that I was just standing in the way for others. After about two months I've decided to return.

An introduction:
I am a 16 year old boy from Norway. I have had a secular upbringing, and I have been an atheist-leaning agnostic for as long as I can remember, a Pastafarian since 2008 and a militant atheist/skeptic since last year.

I am on my first year (out of three) of high school (general studies with specialization in music). I play the bass guitar and the piano.
After high school I am considering studying
computer engineering, nanotechnology, astrophysics, psychology and a lot of other subjects. If you have any recommendations, please tell me!

My interests are science, history, psychology, reading, music (my favorites right now are XTC, Gentle Giant and Claude Debussy), acting and politics (I am a member of the Young Liberals of Norway). I am convinced that the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams are the best books ever written, and that the Answer is 42.

Looking forward to many interesting discussions and conversations with you! :)

Welcome back, Magnus!

If you're down with Debussy, may I also suggest Maurice Ravel? And for that matter, you might want to check out the Classical Masters group, maybe chip in a note or two!
Welcome, Magnus!
You are lucky to live in a very secular country and have a lot to contribute to the Nexus. Tell us how little religion there is in Norway.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams are the best books ever written! We used to talk about them all night.
