So we can picture you sitting at the table with us, how about telling us your favorite food and drink?

I'm Ruth and you'll find me eating a cup of vanilla Greek yogurt, constantly refilling my teacup from a gigantic pot of hot green tea. (I share, you're welcome to some tea. :D)

Craig here.  I was about to go for a lengthy ride on my recumbent bike when I stumbled on this thread.  Skimmed through, and now I have an intense desire to go to the grocery store.  Luckily, I live in the sticks, so many of the coffees, chocolates, sushi, etc., are not readily available.  I'm trying to lose a few pounds, so I've been living on Greek yogurt, bananas, protein shakes, and tomato juice.  If we're meeting in a bar, set up the Guinness; at a cafe, hide the cookies; at an Italian restaurant, just stand back for your own safety.  At home, a decent red wine or a single malt, though I don't have the money to maintain a collection.  Two dogs, two cats.  Two cars, two motorcycles.  A pattern.

Time to pump up the bike tires.  Cold brewed coffee, fyi, is really good, with all the flavor and none of the bitterness.  You do have to plan ahead a bit.

Hi everyone, I'm Dan, some people know me as fish though.

Guess why!

I will take a Rum and coke with a nice sloppy fish reuben sandwich myself. Fresh caught fish of course.

Never buy it from a store or even a fish monger, it never is as fresh as when you catch it yourself.

Thanks, Ruth, for suggesting this group. I am so glad I finally did something about my isolation. I often overlook my own atheism, but I have found that the answer to my many isolating beliefs (or lack of) is to embrace them more enthusiastically, not pretend they don't exist.  I finally took this step today.

Hello All-

I love coffee with a splash of skim milk... just enough to muddy it.  And to go with it?  Well, I love almonds, but I also love chocolate, so I like to mix almonds with chocolate chips for an afternoon snack.

hi im tony typical male of this primate species so you'll find me drinking beer. eating any old shit thats quick and easy, but attempting to educate myself so that not every thought relates to my dick.

LOL It's sooo easy to "eat any old shit that's quick and easy to prepare." *sigh* I used to make healthy breakfasts. Now I grab toast and a cheese stick.

I can relate to "quick and easy" as well! More often than I'd like, I dash out the door with a bar (Power-, Clif, Balance, whatever) and a mug of strong green tea. (I'll make up for it with a hearty, varied lunch.)

I am Jonah and I have a blog where I wrote every 2-3 days @

Greetings to the new members!
Thanks for the tea Ruth!

Coffee, coffee and more coffee. One day I'll get rehab for it :)

I do love those chocolate stir sticks though for an added touch of class :)

I live way out in the country and don't socialise much with 'regular' humans (and I like it that way), so finding this site was a delight. I am able to interact with like minded people and contribute to the sanity that atheism is.

I so appreciate logging in here every morning to read the news and discussions. I am very blunt about my atheistic stance and cannot stand the BS of any kind of religion. I am tired of the hypocrisy to the point that during a conversation with my mother yesterday, I said: "I have no tolerance for religion at all, I have tried to 'respect' other people's views, but I sincerely cannot. I am ashamed at the human race for being so delusional and needy and simply cannot stand for the tyranny any more". So it is probably a good thing that I do not interact socially (LOL) I may get myself into trouble. Thankfully my parents are both atheists and I was lucky enough to not only be born into such a family but to be able to remain atheist throughout my childhood and adulthood. You may hear me rant and you may hear me roar on here, but this is ultimately where I can express myself with all honesty and I thank you all in advance for putting up with me.

PS: I love chocolate too.
