"Mass shootings are often perpetrated by young men who are socially isolated or have a mental illness, experience a trauma or conflict that sends them reeling emotionally, and have easy access to guns."

It appeared to me that the recent Florida school shooting in which 17 were killed by a young man named Cruz was something by a mentally disturbed Democrat with a MAGA hat and white supremacist views. If that is confusing let's go back to the Vegas shooter who reportedly had no political views. I find this all strange that opponents of gun control want to make the shootings something of party views and affiliation. This is name calling to an extreme. What are we ever going to do if we find this to be homegrown terrorism and having no bipartisan origins?
Then we have this Maryland school shooting where the shooter killed 2 people with a handgun. The shooter himself is now dead and I cannot say that I am sorry. A little study shows that our children are approaching all of this as if it was a game of some sort. It certainly is not. How is it that we are losing our value of human life?
