(Citing fears that doomsday believers, curiosity seekers, and "above all" journalists, will flood a French mountaintop on Dec. 21, the supposed day of the Mayan apocalypse, local officials are banning access to the mountain.
The spot, Pic de Bugarach, is rumored to be one of the only safe places on the planet on Dec. 21, according to Raw Story. On that date, a major cycle of the Maya Long Count calendar ends. The calendar is split into several chunks, including 400-year spans called b'ak'tuns. Dec. 21, 2012 on our calendar marks the end of the 13th b'ak'tun and the beginning of a new cycle.)
Why can't these guys just stop scaring people sometimes..The world will end someday but nobody can tell when it is.That is the difference between human beings and Nature.
and look at this link..
They are very interested to create a list of disasters which is going to happen. LOL
Dec. 22nd 2012, like May 22nd 2011, then Oct. 22nd 2011, will be a sad day for those who haven't learned yet that such sad predictions are unworthy of discussion, much less anticipation. Guaranteed, there will be some zealots who sold everything they owned and spent every cent leading up to this date, only to find themselves in a world of hurt when it proved to be of no more consequence than any other tomorrow.
That's right. There is a guy i know who told me that he believes that at least half of the humans will be wiped out on Earth on Dec 22nd 2012 and the biggest joke than that is he told that Jesus will come on that day..
