On the eve of the election, another batshit crazy politician has addressed the issue of rape. And no, it's not Todd "Legitimate Rape" Akin from Missouri.
This time, it's in the Great State of Indiana. US Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, in a televised debate against his opponent Joe Donnelly, talked about abortion. According to Mourdock, if a woman gets pregnant due to rape, that's something "God intended."
I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God. And, I think, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.
After a rousing endorsement from the presidential candidate leading his ticket, the head of the ticket quickly tried to distance himself from Mourdock stating "they do not reflect his [presidential candidate's] views."
WOW! The head of the ticket really took Mourdock to task with that one. (note extreme sarcasm here). Try and guess which party. Here's a hint. Lipton put's it in conveniet single servings.
I wonder how well Mourdock takes it up his nelly ... and how he would feel if he could become pregnant. This is the republican party in a nutshell - a complete lack of empathy.
