Misplaced Illinois Woman in Eastern North Carolina

I'm here for several reasons, the most important is to make friends and learn. Are there other like-minded people near where I live? I'm also itching for some intelligent conversation. Does anyone want to discuss (a) health-care (b) adult education (c) The Beatles (d) atheism in the south? Other interests include art, recycling crafts, surf music, wanting to learn to play the uke, trying to learn French, making a career change, writing more, losing weight, trying to live a simpler life, and teaching my daughter to drive. Hey you.....talk to me!!!!!!

Welcome. Looking at the pic in the header, I believe we indeed have a group dedicated to teaching daughters how to drive here, so I guess you won't have problems finding people who share your other interests.
