What's something simple that nonbelievers could wear to identify themselves?

yeah, it's vaguely pornographic too ...

- OR -

[chuckle!] Hemant looks remarkably non-plussed with his spaghetti colander on his head.  Wonder why...

I don't like the "A" either.  It's arbitrary, it doesn't have anything to do with the meaning of "atheist".

I like 0I0 - a reminder of mortality.

I personally like the scarlet letter "A." If you have read Hawthorne's novel by the same name.....I know, blah, blah, blah. I just like the logo. I wouldn't change it.
I love the scarlet A. I was walking by a huge truck at a local store one evening. It had the largest jesus bumper sticker I've ever seen. On each door it had the scripted A for the company name but it's also the atheist symbol. I found that unbelievable funny. I have a weird sense of humor.
I would laugh at that too. I love the fish with feet symbol too. Once, I was on a walk with my lady, and we passed a house that had the Jesus fish symbol inlaid into a hill in their front yard next to the sidewalk. It was about 20 feet long, made with bricks and had a flower bed inside it. We wanted so badly to return under the darkness of night, with a few bricks to add some well needed feet, but we never got around to it.

I loved the Darwin fish too, and I thought it was especially hilarious when the christer crowd came back with a Jesus fish about to swallow the Darwin fish. Apparently they're so stupid they didn't get that it was illustrating evolutionary theory, and at the same time exposing the true Christian goal of conquest.

I brought it up because someone else said they were in a setting where a lot of people assumed they're religious.

Also because it's fertile territory for creativity :)

1. Turning a GOD pin upside down, or on end, may get you a question you can answer.

2. Anything that inspires the response, "I like it. What does it mean?"

Whatever you choose, wear it on your right side. When people have seen it they are looking at you, not at your left shoulder.

Seems like it's the scarlet letter "A" at least as far as jewelry is concerned.

The humanism symbol is cute, you can also Google "atheist jewelry" and such.

I haven't decided what sort of symbol I'd like to wear, maybe a Darwin fish, though no matter what one chooses, religionists who pick up on it will be offended. Meh, what *doesn't* offend them?!
