Nutjob Rick Santorum Hints GOP's Loss & Christianity's Decline Is From Lack Of Anti-Abortion Retard Candidates.

I often don't believe much that I read from "RawStory" news, but this one is worthy of a plug, just for the stir value alone!

Link to the RawStory article.

Excerpt: "Likely Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said this week that other GOP candidates were not fanatical enough about opposing abortion, and that’s why Christianity was on the decline in the United States.

Speaking at Cornerstone Action’s 15th Anniversary Dinner in New Hampshire on Tuesday, the former Pennsylvania senator noted that a recent Pew Center surveyfound that the number of non-religious Americans was surging while fewer and fewer people were identifying as Christians.

Santorum explained that reporters asked him more questions on abortion than any other Republican candidate."

Someone tell me if you can:

WHY is ANYONE listening to this whack-a-do?!?

Because that particular Willy-Cranker whack-a-do is putting his hat back into running for president, so many will likely be forced to listen to him.

They might not want to, but they may not be able to avoid hearing his nonsense.

And as we both know,

Many voters are that dumb (irrational) that if you push nonsense into their faces enough times, they tend to believe it.

We don't listen to anything Edsel-Mouth says because we rarely turn on the TV....except to watch Jimmy Kimmel....when our outrageously high cable bill is paid up.  (They even bill us for the weeks when they cut off the "service.".)

I can't wait for Steve Colbert to take over for Nasty Letterman.

Yes, we have that privilege being foreigners.

I'm not part of their politics, but I cannot resist stirring at them from afar.

:-D~

It is sort of like shooting at little duckies in an air-rifle gallery.

So I have simply replaced little duckies with public nutjob figures.

:-D~

Yes, Daniel, it would be sensible to pander to the fastest growing group, the non-religious or secularists, but he is telling them to go backwards and pander to the insane fundamentalists instead.  Likely the fastest diminishing group they have.

Sort of a retarded approach, aye!

He is telling them to push retarded values like pro-life and Christian world-views with gusto.

He is basically calling their candidates as soft on non-Christians and that they need to get back to standing ground on their hard line fundamentalist values.

We should not help perpetuate the "holier-than-thou" framing of those opposed to abortion access. Many of them are far from "pro-life" in their treatment of actual, living, breathing people.

They are anti-choice, and even more accurately, pro-forced-birth.

Many of the people who call themselves pro-life are also pro-death penalty. They’re pro-war. They’re anti-welfare and regard those in need seeking assistance as below them.... None of those people are truly pro-life; rather, they’re anti-woman, anti-choice, and pro-forced-birth. And good luck to the child that enters the world in those circumstances:

Two men and a woman, to a pregnant woman's belly: "We'll do whatever we can to protect your life!" To the baby, after it's born: "Now you're on your own! Get a job, moocher!" "I hope your tramp mom doesn't want food stamps to feed you!" "Or medical insurance!"

(Tim Peacock, "Pro-Life vs. Pro-Forced-Birth: Semantics")

Nice one.

Hence the bon mot that Republicans think life begins at conception and ends at birth.

I believe abortion is still banned in Ireland. There was a fatality there not so long back when doctors weren't aloud to abort early enough. I'll have to visit 'secular Sunday' the Irish atheist group to find out the state of play. I don't believe Santorum has any realistic chance of winning a presidential election. Too far off his rocker.

I'm confused. I thought the reason christianity is declining is because of gay marriage. Now I'm being told it's because of abortion. Can someone get these nuts in the same asylum so they can get their stories straight?

Pat, you can be so dense sometimes. Don't you know that people having gay sex causes more abortions??? Duh! (It also causes more divorces and more children without a mommy AND a daddy.)

Your nowhere near as confused as the conservative right Pat.
