OBAMA CARE...So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This is a statement of our most basic individual rights. Over the centuries our human rights have been abused and eroded but always one could still say (...most of the time, in this country...) one could mind their own business and be left totally alone to live their life with no interference from anyone. But with this new health care bill, soon everyone will have to pay a fee to the government, or insurance company, for being alive.

...our last tiny bit of absolute liberty will be erased.

Me too. Finally I can get paid to do something I love.
Praise the lord and pass the ammunition! (song quote, couldn't resist)

If he's really moving to Costa Rica, then maybe I'll have to start believing in miracles.
HAHAHA love it. laughed out loud in a library. It really seems like the kind of thing an over dramatic conservative would do to gain respect while really loosing it.
It tried ... and people called Dubya an asshole anyway!
Man, forever I thought it was the "Parrot" act. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Damn socialists with their red fire trucks!
I used to have the market cornered on spare minds, which I sold at a huge profit. Now this health care bill has ruined that, and I'll have to sell off my second yacht just to make payments on my third home. There's my Liberty and Happiness, right down the toilet.

I'm having a going-out-of-business sale. You could have two for the price of one. Then you could literally say "I'm of two minds on this..."
This is a fun conversation, thank you both for making me laugh.
Ralph, you realize it's awfully difficult to stay alive, be free, and pursue happiness without health care, right?
I guess offering the current 'public option' of no health care to one in six Americans unless they use the ER at hospitals is the best, cheapest and most freedom loving way for all of us to live amongst a healthy populace where we don't have to either have insurance or pay for other people's catastrophic health issues by paying more to cover the cost of people who don't have insurance using the ERs at hospi....

Oh - wait - never mind.
Everyone knows people with money should be allowed to live longer than regular people. It's a terrible day for liberty when insurance companies won't be allowed to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions.
Jason, to most rightwingers, our most fundamental right is the right not to have health care (food and education are second and third).
