I joined a Facebook conversation shortly ago along the lines of how witches get a bad rep, and one pagan person said one of the witches was pretty.  My thoughts were these: "They are all pretty.  That is the Wicked Witch of the North, the Wicked Witch of the East, and the Wicked Witch of South.  (The Wicked Witch of the West being under a woodframe house just now.)  This brings up a curious fact, and I must remind you of it: the actual sin of the Wise Old Women of the middle times was the distribution of abortifacients.  This pissed off the Boss and he put out henchmen to eradicate the pagani peoples' W.O.W.  That's right, the Boss was the hit man, slaughtering hundreds of thousands in a misogynistic orgy of religiousity.  Later, in emulation of them, the Lord of the Reich exterminated millions of a rival religion's believers as the Vatican helped the God's chosen people -- the S.S. -- get to South America through its Caritas subsidiary: Crowley was hard-on right about the Devil being the God of the people you personally dislike.
