The economy in the United States is in a collapse.  The Capitalist system does not work anymore; banks have become more powerful than our politicians.  The government now has a policy based around Fear and Greed.  The rich are getting
richer and more powerful, while the great masses of America wallow in poverty.

Must we continue to exist in this passive state, only living to serve the rich and powerful?  Or do we, the great masses, stand up against the policies of Fear, and Greed, and
God?  We must break the bonds that
separate us, we must pull down the centers of Greed and Fear and we must pull
down the houses of God.

These borders are created to separate us into individuals where we can be controlled easier.

We must stand up, against the tyranny of the centers of Greed, and Fear, and God; quoting John Adams: “People should not fear government, government should fear people.”
Once we stand up to Fear, to Greed, to God, we will become united!

This being said, I advocate the collapse of the Capitalist system and the foundation of the United Socialist Federal Republic, in which the government will exist to serve the people.
Capitalism is Dead.  We must put
it out of it’s misery and move on toward Socialism. (to view the 19 pages of discussion)

Not finishing the Apollo program was probably the start of the flattening of the curve.

Borders are a huge issue. I feel we need to be consistent in our decision making process. If international borders are open for corporations, then they must be open for people also. If we want to "protect our cushy western lifestyle" with borders, then our corporations should be held to them as well. It is NOT a free market if corporations can be mobile in search of cheap labor, but labor itself not mobile. That is a captive/slave market, not a free market.

To me that is the fundamental difference between the European Union and NAFTA. One Europeans have open borders for all, only money has open borders in North America.

you make a choice, if you want closed borders, they have to be closed for corporations as well, no Nike shoes made by Indian cheap labour, no t-shirts made by Haitian cheap labour, no Chinese toxic processed food mass imported to our tables or toxic children's toys and toothpaste, no stealing of plant genetic biodiversity from South America, no stealing of African resources by Canadian/USA mining companies. Borders are strictly a way for corporations to ensure an endless supply of desperate cheap labour.

Our Western economy is struggling because corporations are outsourcing labour and selling our resources off instead of hiring our own citizens. Yes we have tons of "professional" MDs in Canada, cheap, from the Arab world, and you got to wonder what kind of medical schools they went to. It's a crying shame. I don't want professionals from other countries. We should be training our own people. To use "professionals" from other countries is simply CHEAP.

It's not a complicated system at all. Corporations rule government, twist all laws and regulations in their favor and profit immensely. This is their ONLY purpose. The purpose of a corporation is to maximise profit. NOT to make people happier, healthier, wiser, calmer, none of that.

It doesn't really need deeper delving, it just requires balls and honesty. Marxism?? I don't really give a shyte about Marxism, the only people who are constantly shreaking about the "threat of Marxism" who simply have not recognised that there are many ways to build a nation. Marxism as it's been experienced in the world has simply been state capitalism, really, I couldn't care less for Marxism. I always vote for green parties, we are slightly socially oriented on some issues and slightly conservative on other issues.

It depends what you mean by capitalism... Yes the US and most of the world has been taken over by a steep pyramid monetary system. Hitler and Stalin had something right... The Federal Reserve (the private banking old boys club of Zionist plutocratic oligarchy) use their tentacles, the IMF, the news and pop cult-ure, and the global pentagon based military empire to subvert nations. The game is rigged though... we do not live in a true free market plutocracy because those at the apex of the social pyramid control the volume of money in the market and are therefore above both money and the law - they use the monetary system as a slave to serve them.

I am sure I forgot something.

it seems a bit naive to think that the rich are the only that would oppose this though~ everyone is afraid of change, let alone on a monumental scale.  you'd have worldwide revolution against you, at least at this point, because so many people value being distinct, wars, and generally being idiotic.  the only real hope of achieving this that i see would be through education, universal education, to every human being; that way people could be intelligent to understand and support such an initiative... but alas, for such education you'd need some sort of universal, benevolent, non-mone(tarily)centric government that exists for the betterment of humanity..  ah, the lovable yet frustrating connundrum

Education is the most important aspect for any revolution.

But like you said, we need the United Socialist Federal Republic to bring about the United Socialist Federal Republic, correct?

I am an eternal optimistic, tis in my nature. We must fight for out future and then one day we will be free

Look up the economic model called the Social Credit developed by Clifford Hughes.

There are great ideas in there. It is a workable economic model that could be wrapped around our capitalist system without needing a revolt first.

Although, the revolt is coming.

We live in a mixed economy, not a capitalist economy. Second of all if you're concerned over businesses that are so large that their collapse could crash the national/world economy then we need to all have a serious talk about expanding our anti-trust / monopoly laws to break them up before they crash.
What do you mean?

Could you elaborate, please?

There is no hard and fast definition that narrowly defines all mixed economies, so I'll just give you a generic definition.

The United States being a mixed economy fits the following criteria.

1.) It has a degree of private economic freedom.

2.) It uses government regulation to mitigate that freedom in specific ways.

There is a reason why I mentioned businesses that are so large they could crash the global economy.  Take for instance JP Morgan Chase, they're valued at over $2 trillion.  If they collapse due to taking risks it could very well be the cause of a global depression.  So how do you mitigate that?  All you can do is propose to the global community that sectors of the economy that can't safely collapse should undergo a process akin to trust busting / monopoly legislation.  That way they're split up before they can cause drastic harm.  However I'm no expert on this matter.  Thus it should be the experts that hammer out the specific details to prevent such an occurrence.

So you are stating, and please tell me if I am wrong, but you are stating that the large businesses must be broken up before the move towards Socialism. When they collapse under socialism, it will not bring the world down with it, correct?
