I wonder, would atheism be considered a religion under this resolution? Would those who criticize atheists be punished?
The resolution is intended to justify the laws of countries that already impose criminal penalties for criticizing religion. That is, Muslim countries. No country is about to enact national laws prohibiting criticism of atheism.
That bill would have to get consensus of all 14 members of the security council, including the five permanent members, in which I don't think any will not block it.
