Hi all,
For those of you in South Africa, did you perhaps read the (Afrikaans) newspaper article on Saturday in which a theologian poses a set of questions about atheism?
I've translated it and posted it on my website.
Perhaps some kind of public debate can be encouraged?

Hi Lauren, I thought RSA had an organised atheist group. In fact at some point I stumbled on some paper indicating that there is an Atheist SA some somewhere that side. So its interesting to hear from you people that side that with your reknowned diversity and tolerance, you don't have an organised atheist community!

How did I get here? I was looking for a nearby atheist group. I googled Atheist SA, Zambia and other related phrases and somehow I found myself here. So I was just searching around. Ya, just like anything else social on the net is US, its difficult to get local African atheist oriented information. We may need to devise ways to get a lot more lonely atheists among us to cyber comminities.

True, I would so love more people to find AN and join, especially in my neck of the woods so that we can meet up and share such a special reasoning. I would be interested to know how we all found Atheist Nexus. Mine was an introduction by another member being Anil, fortunately! I would like to know how others managed to come across this site. We are such a minority on this site, most are from the US.

Hi guys, was trying to find any Zambian atheist around the net, and I think I got one here. Interesting that Africa, whose local beliefs do not seem to have made sufficient impact on the globe, should have so few atheists! At least those able to come out.

You guys may want to consider joining the sub group. "Black Free Thought". I have found their threads interesting and relevant, even to pale skinned Africans like myself who have led lives riddled with sin and sunburn.

This is not an attempt to screw with this group, just an effort to consolidate traction and momentum.
