My thiest fiance brought up the topic of baptizing any possible child in the future.

I'm not really up for it but he did ask for me to think about it.

I'm fairly stuck about it. I personally believe that the child should have the opportunity to make their own choice when to be baptized, but he wants to 'to give the child a fighting chance in case they are taken before they could make their own choice.'
He also brings in an aspect of being 'right and wrong'. If I'm right (with my belief), the baby just gets a little wet if it gets baptized. If I'm wrong-baby baptize=still gets chance and sin of adam/eve will be relieved. -no baby baptize=still corrupted sin, could lose chance of going to heaven if not baptized before death.

The pressure of getting child baptized could maximize with his very very tight family that practically live in walking distance.

What do you think about the concept of baptism? What reason do you have in not going with a baptism. If you go with it, was it that 'what if' ? or family influence?

I don't understand what you mean by "Whew! That was a close one, eh?" It feels like a statement that is covering up an unvoiced opinion or unexpressed level of discomfort.
lol ok. sorry, I take things so literal sometimes, especially through the computer.
