Cool!! I didn't think of iTunes. I will check them out and ask a good buddy who is into Opeth, Katatonia, and the like, if he is familiar. If not, I will share. I'll let you know what I think, definitely. Thanks for the heads-up!

Paula, Enslaved has evolved from black metal into prog metal somewhat like Opeth has done with death metal. On their new album, there are songs that lean toward Opeth's sound without actually copying it. You can find them on emusic.com (my fav) and on iTunes. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Enslaved's sound is Opeth inspired?!?! That's a new band to me......How can I get a hold of their music? I've always been a rock~n~roll fan/heavy metal fan and have been listening to Opeth for only about 7 years. Love, love, love their stuff!

Jennifer, how bad is it in your opinion? I've only heard the "Gateways" single so far.

On another note, the new Enslaved album, Axioma Ethica Odini, is excellent. They are more prog these days, but the black metal influences are ever-present. Several songs have an almost Opeth- inspired sound, but it's still obviously Enslaved.

Yup, I always do a search for "(band name) (song name) lyrics." First off, you generally get a CD rip, which will be higher audio quality, and then you don't have the video, like you said.

I don't really watch videos, sometimes, I think it takes away from imagination when you close your eyes and listen to a song. Even on YouTube, I usually want to see the album cover when it comes to music.
