Hi all. More-or-less lifelong british atheist currently serving in Bastion, wonder ing whether there are any AA people over here too. Partly just to say "hi", partly to find out whether you're having an easier time than I am when it comes to downloading podcasts; british internet access is quite limited, but i've heard that in Leatherneck the megabytes flow like wine! Drop me a message.

Hello American Atheists all!  More disruption in the Middle East -- people seeking change from old authoritarian regimes.  Although such efforts are often unpredictable (other authoritarians often step into the power vacumn that follows) it is a clear effort to reject a certain type of tradition.  Real communication and the spread of information will, one day, lead to broader recognition of the opression of religious belief.  Perhaps we should do more to develop sources of user-friendly information providing the evidence reality... unless you are aware of such a comprehensive website?

I have watched Dave's priceless reaction to O'Reilly's "tide go in, tide go out" comment several times. That has to be the best "OMFG" face. Ever.
