Discrimination is such a carefully taught part of human nature. The church begins the "us against them" teaching early in most familys. This is followed up with the media,s paranoid fear of hurting the feelings of those in power, particularly if they are members of some Religious group. As a Gay, Atheist, Grandfather, I have seen it all. Fortunately I found the lights in the darkness, Hitchens, Harris, Dawkins, and Dennett. They gave me the push to verbally fight back agains ALL discrimination. I proudly wear my Scarlet Letter tee shirt. And when I explain what it means, it is worth the price of the shirt to see the expressions on their faces. :)
