Welcome to Home of Apostates!

Everyone has the right to abandon his/her religion without being persecuted or discriminated. We fight against the persecution of apostates. We stand up against religious discrimination and intolerance. It is a long way ahead but there will be a day that apostates will be able to live safely all around the world in peace and harmony with other people.

Religion is brain poison, and has a twofold effect on the believer's brain:First, the believer becomes accustomed to accepting logical fallacies as correct, fallacies that are necessary to justify…Continue

Any Mormon Apostates Out There?

Started by Humble Pie. Last reply by Grinning Cat Oct 15, 2014. 6 Replies

I may be chatting with some Mormon teens this week. (This opportunity came to me, not me to it.) What made sense to you when you were still in the church? Any seeds I should plant?

Date a Believer?

People who believe in god(s)/religion(s) seem to say that "God is most important" in their lives (then family, then work). But god doesn't exist. I have a concern that because the…Continue

I know what you mean.  I've lived in Augusta, GA and have never been to the Master's golf championship.  Never had a desire.

I was actually thinking the same thing, Josh. "Rednecks" and all, if I may generalize. By the way, I've lived in Indiana all my life and only went to one race--way back in high school.

Religious people seem to be more into sports, Randall.  I would imagine it's possible that less than 5% there were secular.

I agree.  I stopped bowing to social pressure many years ago.

I just don't understand it. Before the start of the Indy 500 race, some preacher gave an "invocation" prayer. Cameras scanning the crowd showed just about everybody bowing their headsin solemn reverence. If 25% of our population is considered secular, why weren't there more "heads up", ignoring the inaneness? We need not "bow down" to social pressure. Be proud, fellow atheists!

I couldn't escape fast enough. In a room of high school classmates on a reunion picnic, a "meal prayer" was offered. I was stuck--forced to listen. I snickered to myself as the lady thanked god for the "nice day", food, good health-- the usual inane stuff. With my back to the group, I held my head high and gazed out the window. That was the only statement I could make. I hope somebody noticed, but I doubt it.

I assume that all atheists are apostates, except those who were never victims of religion to begin with.
