I don't mean that the representatives are too respectful. I mean the public. Sometimes a molotov cocktail says a lot more than a lecture. We got absolutely pwned in air time during these town halls this summer. All anybody knew was that the right was mad about health care. No one knew or cared about what the left had to say. We just gave up on single-payer before the debate even started. Say we all would have come out for single-payer at the beginning of it all, we could concede the single-payer and get public option. You can name all the reps you want but its a fact the left does not stand up for their beliefs like the right does. And just how militant can Carville be?...he sleeps with the enemy every night

Leo, that's Pelosi. Polosi is a figment of your imagination.

None of these people are on the left. Are you nuts?

The left is too respectful? Ever heard of Barney Frank? Nancy Polosi? Charles Rangel? James Carville? I'll grant that the right may have more live-fire rectal pores than the left, but there's nowhere near a monopoly.

I'd be happy enough with an Atheist Twin for my own.

Social action, huh? Who's up for moving out into the Nevada desert and founding a settlement? Atheist Town for the win.

But is it really the left that is so tame, but liberals, not the same thing?

Well the problem with the left here in the US is they are too respectful. Conservatives aren't afraid to scream their heads off and make a spectacle of themselves, not that we should scream at everyone, but it would be nice to see a LITTLE spark every once in a while. I mean when there are a people standing at the fences of the White House calling our pres. Hitler, etc. then its time to stand up for good sense and reason, and if it takes violence, well then..."By whatever means necessary". But to just sit back and take the kind of abuse that we do is just wrong, we only have ONE life and to waste it letting crazy god-heads order us around is crazy imo.
