Chris, I haven't had experience with food allergies in animals, but I have had lots of practice with the scientific method. That is the best way to track how he responds to different foods.

A whole new season to play around with plant varieties. We have hot weather for spring this week. The trees revealed their beautiful colors and patterns. We expect a freezing frost tonight or this week and there go the apricots, cherries, and pears.

Grinning Cat, I enjoy the cat with no gravity effect. It takes a minute. Are we getting acclimated to living in space with no gravity?

The High Frontier: Human Colonies in Space: Apogee Books Space Seri...

"O'Neill's idea of pursuing an inexhaustible energy supply (solar power in space) and endless room to expand remains tantalizingly attractive. The science has only gotten easier, and the moral imperative has only become more pronounced, with the planet's resources ever steadily squeezed and the recent knowledge that a mass-extinction event on Earth is nearly inevitable. (O'Neill calls the High Frontier the only chance to make human life--perhaps all life in the universe--"unkillable.") TheHigh Frontier is as exciting a read as it ever was, and six new chapters provide context for the advances made in the 25 years since O'Neill's original manifesto. But perhaps the best addition to this printing is the chance to see and hear the soft-spoken physicist himself, in more than an hour of MPEG video included on the CD-ROM."

Yikes! I forgot how to gravity (black-and-white cat sitting comfortably on the side of an armchair and not falling off, as if gravity were pulling to the left instead of down)"At least you still know how to cat, right?"

No experience with cat food allergies, Plinius. Sorry about Dido.

More ideas! It's possible that Dido suffers from food intolerance - it would match his attacks of diarrhea. So I'm setting up a programme for him: hypoallergenic kibbles and one kind of other food to start with. In the first place I want him to get his strenght back and at least a kilo of the lost weight. Daily notes on food, well-being and stools.

Has anyone got experience with things like these?

Blue bells! Thanks!

This week I'll start in my roof garden, people gave me packets of seeds and I can't wait to see things growing! And that backup of course...

Spring flowers for Chris. Take just a moment to imagine a walk in the flowers; rest, relax, recuperate!

You know about backups, Joan - ;-) - next week, when I'm not so busy.

Loving care can do wonders; I hope you find a treatment that works, even if you don't have a diagnosis.

I hope this week is a good one for you.

Chris, do you run backups on your computer?

Great news about Dido, Chris. I hope his recovery continues!

Thanks for asking, Joan! After my PC died when I needed it most, I was busy for weeks to salvage and find stacks of info I needed for tax refund, administration for our wards and much more, and in the meantime I visited cat forums to find a cure for Dido - and I had no diagnosis. I experiment with food and he is slowly getting stronger and heavier, this week 4 kilos for the first time in 8 weeks. I haven't solved the loose bowel problem yet but there's good hope that Dido will stay with us!
