The "small world syndrome" ...a friend sent me that LOLCat the other day, right after I started re-reading my "Harry Potter" collection.  It reminds me so much of the Hermione Granger character

Yes, thanks! "The first, and last, 'take-your-cat-to-work' day" is a keeper, and inspired me to search for the larger version at the link.

And Simon is very well trained in "Crazy Time", lifting the fruit bowl several times for his cat's convenience. :)

Oh, wow!  THAT'S a keeper!  I enlarged it and printed a copy, but I also put it in my cat pix file.

THANK you!

Mindy, I have to say that not ALL dogs are like that; SuperDog was old and had the worst case of hip dysplasia I've ever seen, and the toddler was about the same height he was.  Eye to eye...he didn't charge the fence, or anything, but I'd never seen him raise his hackles at anything before.  Except other dogs.  He was extremely territorial.

However, he was absolutely sweet to me from the first time I met him, and once when I was staying with them (there were three big dogs in the family...one purebred German shepherd and two shepherd mixes), I was having a terribly painful root canal; the kind where it took at least 3 treatments to get the crud out, and seal it up.  I had come back from the dentist, and the anesthesia was wearing off; I was lying on the bed with my face in the pillow, crying.  Supe trundled in, "kissed" my ear, and trundled out as fast as he could.  If he didn't have fur on his face, I think he would have been blushing.

He was NOT a "kissy" dog.  He was very "talky," though.
