Great news, Chris!

Dido made the comeback! Last Friday he had an echo and the vet thought there could be an infection in the liver, even if it didn´t show in the bloodsample. So antibiotics and chicken, and the change started right away. It will take him some time to get at his old weight but the celebrations are in full swing!

Thanks Loren! Dido & Luna are beautiful, but the best of them is the friendship they show us.

I just hope Dido makes a comeback, Chris.  He's a beautiful cat.

No blood and urine were rather ok, and there are no mice up here, but I hope the echo will show something treatable...

Comment by Joan Denoo on February 18, 2016 at 2:38am

Oh, Chris, this is dreadful! Could Dido have eaten a poisoned mouse? I assume that is the first thing to suspect.

Thanks Joan and Robert! The diagnosis proved to be wrong as the medicines didn't work, so we're going for an echo and further examination tomorrow. The time to find the solution is getting shorter and in the meantime I've brought half of my monthly income to the vet - but I don't care.

For Chris and Dido, I hope all is going well. Be gentle with yourself, both of you

Comment by Joan Denoo on February 18, 2016 at 12:20am

On second thought, I will not plant catnip around the property if cougars like it. We have too many small children and animals to make such a foolish decision.

What a cutie pie, I always get all melancholy when I think of a cat being sick or in distress. Luck to you with Dido for both his and your sake!
