Mr. T looks great!

I have missed Mr. Devil since the 1980s...he used to sleep in my arms when I was feeling blue (so many of my friends were dying of AIDS then), and purred like a motorboat.

I'm sure everyone in here is familiar with the quote: Thousands of years ago, cats were worshiped as gods.  Cats have never forgotten that.

Great picture of Mr. T! Every cat is indeed a god unto himself or herself.

Yes, cats have fantastic shit detectors!

Chris, I was cat-sitting for a friend in 1993 when the "Jingle Cats" tape first came out...and I was playing it and laughing.  The youngest of the three cats  haired up, backed away from the speaker, and hissed at it.

Wish I'd had my old SLR camera with me that time.  (No such thing as a digital snapshot camera then.)

Poor Patricia! Having to catsit, how horrible!

Spud, cats know sounds even from a speaker and some sounds are irresistible. When my Poeka and MauMau were kittens (long ago, they're playing catfish in the North Sea now) I liked to play a CD with jungle sounds. They tried to rip the cloth from the speakers to get at the birds they heard. Husband didn't like the torn speakers, so I decided to desensitize the cats by playing the CD very often. After some time they told each other:"Don't pay attention, she's at it again!"

Other sounds... many are ignored because they're not important to the cats. Sometimes they get enthousiastic from classical music and one time I saw husband and Dido dancing to rock music. I don't know what made Dido dance, the friendship or the music.

That's interesting that cat's are attracted to the purring.

Thank her for me, please!  There's nothing sweeter than a buzzing cat giving nose-prints....unless it's a face-washer.
