What a cutie pie, I always get all melancholy when I think of a cat being sick or in distress. Luck to you with Dido for both his and your sake!

Grinning Cat, I am going to plant catnip all over the Newport place. It might attract in cougars, but it is worth the experiment.

Chris, Dido now has a diagnosis and I hope it works! Did you carry him to the vet again? and how are you doing?

He looks like my Ebony who died almost 40 years ago. What a cat he was!

I am sorry!

My poor Dido lost almost half his weight before he got the diagnose thyroid gland trouble. He has been on medication for four days now, but it seems that the medicines take some time before the weight loss stops and Dido goes on the road to better health.

This is what he looked like two months ago before he got ill. Today he looks emaciated. Has anyone got experience with thyroid problemd and medicines? Any good advice the vet didn't tell?

A "lost" cat wandered into a Dutch pet store, and headed straight for the catnip toys:

"Oh, and don’t worry: according to the original poster, the cat’s owner came to pick him up soon after and returned him home."

I enjoyed these cat photos and videos; I'm off to sleep and will probably dream about cats fighting and eating cucumbers. Who would have known?

What if Grumpy Cat, tribbles and evil aliens had kittens?

Chipotle and Manchego, the "Alien Cats of Instagram", might be the result!

And here's some proof cats of all kinds are aliens:

I've been stupid! I let the cats into my roof garden, they like to take the air and chew greenery. Their favorite plants were dead, but due to the warm winter there were some green sprigs.. Dido began to throw up and lost one of his six kilos in one week, and then I thought of the garlic he had chewed. Luckily I was in time; I pulled out the garlic and fed Dido back to his normal shape.

That could well be the explanation, Stephen.

One of our cats surprised us when my husband played with them; he walked on all fours and the cat acted as if a dangerous monster had come into the apartment. That ended the joke of course, but half an hour later MauMau was still nervously trying to find out where the monster had gone.

My wife came up with a sensible explanation: The cats are reacting to it as though it were a snake that had suddenly crept up on them. Possibly dangerous, certainly treacherous and something you should be wary of. Cats don't see colors very well, after all. Perfectly reasonable.
