Darn... I didn't realize this group was inactive until just now. Was wondering why I hadn't seen anything.
Funny story - I got banned on a Christian homeschool forum a few days ago... ridiculous. I was pretty active too. I shared this megalist of creative writing prompts and in a few hours got banned because some of them weren't 'xtian.'
F***ing get this, here is the prompt that pissed them off: "You are an angel and have been tasked with creating animals to populate the earth. You are called into God's ‘office.’ God wants to discuss your finished project… the platypus." There were over 300 creative prompts (link) and they decided this went against their religion?
Trying to find some places other than secularhs and was hoping more ppl would be here.

K12 has biblical history. Sorry to confuse you

I'm a tad confused. Oak meadows has the biblical history? Or?

We used K12 for K and 1st grade. There is a lot of Christianity in the history section including an entire CD of bible stories. It was annoying to say the least. And the entire section on evolution in science was marked optional. Otherwise, it was a good program. I have heard good things about Oak Meadows though

Ryan, what grades and subjects?

Comment by Dawn K on May 4, 2012 at 5:02pm

Ryan it depends on whether you are looking for an all-in-one curriculum or don't mind piecing a curriculum together from multiple sources. Oak Meadow and K-12 are two secular all-in-one's. You can find lists of secular curriculum at Docs sunrise rants: and at

Where can I find an atheist style curriculum?

What a wonderful idea!

I thought some of you might be interested in a new political party that I am working with.

founded by atheists and views government policy from an atheist point of view. This view encompasses both a strict adherence to the Separation of Church and State& a reasoned, scientific approach to the solutions for other problems.
