Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Funny indeed. It also demonstrates how they just make it up as they go. :)

Here you go Tracie. The Church signs from page 70 typed up for you. I kind of like the 'tongue in cheek' humor this particular Catholic Church had in this one...

Catholic Church = “All Dogs go to Heaven”
Presbyterian Church = “Only humans go to heaven. Read the Bible.”
Catholic Church = “God loves all his creations, dogs included.”
Presbyterian Church = “Dogs don’t have souls. This is not open for debate.”
Catholic Church = “Catholic dogs go to Heaven. Presbyterian dogs can talk to their pastor.”
Presbyterian Church = “Converting to Catholocism does not magically grant your dog a soul.”
Catholic Church = “Free dog souls with conversion.”
Presbyterian Church = “Dogs are animals. There aren’t any rocks in Heaven either.”
Catholic Church = “All rocks go to Heaven.”

I think the word is embiggened. It comes from the same Simpsons episode that gives us the word cromulent. "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man." "It (embiggens) is a perfectly cromulent word."

@jason -- stolen from Phil Plait, he's always using some form of it in his BadAstronomy columns with sky pictures.

Tracie -- If you double-click on the picture (it's one big pic), it becomes embiggered and much more readable.

Would someone please transcribe the church billboards? My eyes aren't good enough to read them. They're on about page 70 of this thread (July 22, 2009)
