Hmmmm... Large-screen football in church. Sounds like the "Fosterite" services in Heinlein's STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND. Come to think of it, the main character in that book is named "Mike." Tee-hee! LOVE it!

Yeah, that's the grotesque straw-man about atheism that we get from theists and the more snobbish agnostics, alike.  No matter how many times we correct them on the definition, they keep pushing the same shit.
