Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

The local guy who posted this on Facebook thought he was being profound, thinking "he" knew the real intent of "Jesus". I laughed, because I realised that the Jesus myth is probably a iconic romanticisation created to give believers of Abrahamic faiths something to 'feel good' about their ridiculous religious beliefs.
I call it wishful thinking on a social scale!

@Jon T: To me the humor in the eddie Long extravaganza is that those arrogant twits think they matter to the universe when, in fact, most people on this tiny mudball have never heard of them, and never will.

Re: "God Hates Figs"...tee-hee.  Not only did "Jesus" curse a fig tree for being barren out of season (the silly a##), many scholars believe that the Tree of Knowledge that YHWH planted in the garden and then forbade Eve and Adam to sample (entrapment!) was a sycamore fig, which was sacred to the Goddess religion that the Levite priests were so diligently trying to suppress. (Snakes were also sacred; they aided with prophecy. The whole Eden story was made up to keep the Hebrews from sampling the Canaanite religion when they were busy trying to conquer the place.  It didin't always work.  "Gawd works in malicious ways, his blunders to perform.")

Sorry Andrew, I fail to see the humor in the inauguration of self exalted men among the mindless drones of mega churches. Now, if your trying to capture the greatest collective man made evil of our time and depict it as mild lunacy for our amusement, that would make me laugh nervously. What I do find funny is the new king who is black is held aloft by only black men while a white man states he is free from slavery, a slavery which is written in the bible and accepted by Jesus.

To the previous post on Eddie Long: Has anyone else seen this? Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

What's the difference between an evangelical conservative and a catfish?  One's a filthy, no-good, scum-sucking, bottom-feeder...

and the other's a fish.

@ Sandi you should have a poster that says "Evidence against Intelligent Design" right above Pat Robertson's picture.
