This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

So, the green is obviously paganism of some sort.  What's the purple?

Comment by Grinning Cat on April 11, 2016 at 1:44pm

On the many religions whose followers would convert or kill everyone else, given the chance:

Even though every color of Fruit Loops [sic] tastes exactly the same, I have decided I like the purple ones best and will kill anyone who likes any other color - Religion explained as a breakfast cerealThat reminded me of "How to suck at your religion" (at The Oatmeal by Matthew Inman), especially this bit:Parents: you wouldn't do this... (Girl lying on the floor, drawing in green) “I love green. Green is my favorite color.” (Her father) “*No.* Your favorite color is purple.” “But Dad, I don't like purple. I like gree-” “NO. YOUR FAVORITE COLOR IS PURPLE AND THAT'S *FINAL*” [excerpt from “How to suck at your religion” by Matthew Inman, theoatmeal.com]

I like Pi. Apple, pumpkin, cherry, cream..

I don't like the Pi thing, when actually talking to believers.  It's too easily brushed off as a simple rounding, for the purposes of simplification, and it makes us look picky, like we're desperately grasping at straws to find anything wrong with the Bible.  When there are so many blatant things that are fucked up in that book, it's better to go with something more substantial.

It's like deja vue all over again.

Pat, hate to tell you ... I think your scenario has already happened!

Guffaw!

Yes, being willing to believe 2 + 2 = 5 goes really well with killing doctors because you're pro-life. Glad this dickhead isn't my pharmacist.

Bertold, I suspect your slutty daughter and my knucklehead football nephew will produce a female offspring. The child will be homeschooled on the Bible by parents who could not pass a GED test. She will grow up and become the governor of Alaska .

Pastor Peter, how could you build a bridge, or measure out medicine, or stand on principle if you believed in non-mathematic information? How would faith answer these questions?
Peter would you not be doing another human being a disservice by solving scientific problems with Bronze Age information? Don't think that is being stupid?
