Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Sounds like a stalker to me.

Since when does one person belong to another? Sick thinking taking place here.

From a comment in the Friendly Atheist article, a song that also touches on Richard Cahill's blog post!

"...You're not going to heaven.
Eat a thousand crackers, sing a million hymns.
None of you are going to heaven.
You're not my children you're a bad games of Sims....

...You pray so badly for heaven,
knowing any day might be the day that you die
but maybe life on earth could be heaven.
Doesn't just the thought of it make it worth the try?..."

(full lyrics at the YouTube page; link to "The future of the human race" / "Heaven on earth" is mine)

I'll go with "stalking," Qiana, and I won't blink.

I can't decide if this qualifies as admiration or stalking.krbawuBg

And the atheism wasn't the cause of the activities of Pol Pot or Stalin, anyway.  I guess you could get to some negative results through aggressive anti-theism, even if you'd have to stretch it like crazy, but from basic, default atheism, you can't get to any active result.

You have to insert some other ideology or motivation, such as lust for power and the creation of a totalitarian state.  The Christians will say that their religion will prevent the atrocities of those sorts of regimes, but clearly that isn't anything approaching true.

Good point Joseph. I'm so f-ing sick of hearing religionists blame these and similar atrocities on atheism. They conveniently seem to forget about the Inquisition strangely enough.

They'd probably say something about Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot.  Never mind that Hitler wasn't an atheist.

He's generally their go-to, though, since most people in the west know more about him than the other two.
