This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Yes, but a nun can also leave her order, and the church, without endangering her life.  Can't say the same for most Muslim women. Or men.

I wouldn't consider being brainwashed into thinking that ones life calling was to be celibate and dedicated to the zombie jesus a choice.  That being said, I do understand that not wearing a habit doesn't have legal ramifications.  All of it is fucked up, in my opinion.

I think the point is that there IS no difference, except that women become nuns by choice. (It's been a long time since I've seen a nun wearing one of those Middle Ages outfits.  The ones around here wear tailored suits, usually.)

I have read that most muslim women feel more at ease in public in those sacks, or at least with their head-rags on, but that's cultural conditioning.

Someone really needs to explain to me what the difference is here....

"...stood across the street and prayed." [while the church burned]

I wonder which did more good, the prayers or the firefighters.

Sadly, I think some of them do.  At the very least, most people make major decisions like this for emotional reasons.

I like Andrew Hall's #2

So, since you value faith over reason (otherwise you'd be agnostic) do you use faith-based epiphanies over facts when making major purchases like buying a car, a refrigerator, or a house?  Why not?

@TNT666: You're absolutely right. He is/was Norman a Nobel Peace Prize for whatever he did.
