Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Sounds about right, yeah.  Most Creationists are completely ignorant of damned near everything about their religion ... and damned near everything else.  It may not be 50% exactly, but I'm sure it's close.

@riomarcos The Witless are right about the cross being a pagan symbol. there's a cartoon on the net somewhere about it...every year a "king would be chosen, and crucified in the middle of the fields to insure fertility in the growing season.  The body would be left there as a scarecrow.

The Greek word in the buybull that has been mistranslated as "cross," IS "stauros" or "stavros" which means "stake."  So the mythical king was probably impaled...if any of that ever happened at all.

Those are really nicely done.  They use a lot of the technique like anime does, where the models aren't animated and the camera just scrolls around a little, but when the models are animated, they freaking beautifully done.

@Riomarcos

*snerk!* I've been calling then J-Hoover's Witlesses for 30-some years. But not in front of my JW sister.  As I said in the previous post, she's bigger than I am. And she's had a tendency to become physically violent in the past. Even with MediCareless, I can't afford any more orthopaedic surgery. So we don't mess with each other's beliefs..too much.

I do refer to "EyeWitless News" quite often, and I think she got the connection a long time ago.  (ABC's local news broadcasts are witless.)

At my fourth attempt at stand up comedy I did pretty well. I told a few atheist related jokes and got some laughs.

Dear Jason, My 66-year old sister has been a JW for close to 50 years, and I have to share this house with her because Mother's trust left it to both of us.  But she knows better than to get in my face about religion, and some of their beliefs, or whatever you want to call them, are really closer to atheism than mainstream or evangelical xianity.  They know that xmas has its roots in pre-xian religions, for one thing.

She is also an Aspie (Asperger's Syndrome), socially awkward squad to the nth degree, and the only friends she has are other JWs.  She's never had the kind of friend that she can just call up and "let down her hair" and do "girl talk."  I think she became a JW because they kept coming to the door and paid attention to her, which none of her classmates ever did.  She puts most people off. Including my friends.

I feel deeply sorry for her, but sometimes her obsessive behavior makes me want to move out, or at least slap her.  But she's taller than I am,and outweighs me by about 75 lbs.  And I can't afford to move.  >:(
