This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

@ Joseph - you don't know how lucky you are. Through eighth grade I had to go to mass every DAY. Been to scores of funerals of people I didn't even know. After the age of 14, not so much.

Yeah, I have a couple of friends who are weird like that.  I have one friend who is just as anti-religious as I am, but she loves going to Catholic mass, for some reason.  When she went on vacation around Europe, she went to at least a dozen different cathedrals.

I love old, medieval architecture, myself, but I had quite enough mass, growing up Catholic.  I was forced to go to mass every single week until I was 18, when I could tell my parents that I wasn't going anymore.

I think I would rather visit all of the old castles, if I felt the need to go running around Europe like a tourist, for some reason.

I know what you mean about the spooky feelings in places like that.  The silly religious sorts think that it's the spirit of God or whatever.

No, it's just that the people who build churches discovered, centuries ago, how to make them evoke feelings of awe in the people who come inside.  There's a reason that pipe organs are so popular in churches.  Those long, loud, deep vibrations mess with our heads.

And yeah, if you want to see men in dresses, I know a few night clubs where you can see a lot of those, too.  No need to go to a church for that.

Hi Joseph !! Well, im not sure what religion they lean towards to more, but yes. its pretty much the same thing. I had a friend coming over from Germany and she visited a bunch of curches, the really older ones that get turists ( i dont know why she'd waste her vacation like this) but she innocently told me that she felt strange, like a massive pressure coming upon her, turned sad and also scared her a bit. =)) haha ha Thats because its depressing i told her!!! Dont go there!! unless you want to look at dark dampy, several century worth of candle smog and overglorified men in dresses =))

Patricia, those would be new subjects here. Is it so easy to have the ideal marriage?

Not the sort of stereotypical Greek wedding, Bizu?  I had always associated the two, since the Greeks tend to lean more towards Orthodox Christianity.

you should try a christian ortodox wedding. then you'll see boring as hell. up to several hours of looking at priests in dresses chanting nonsense

I think so...

I didn't want children, anyway, and I knew I would have been having one each year if I married him....that was after seeing whole crowds of brats totally disrupting the already awful wedding reception.

Sounds like the reverse of what my life would have been if I had married the guy whose mother hated me 50+ years ago.  He was madly in love with love, his best friend was getting married, and Mike wanted to be next.  WORST wedding I've ever been to.  BORRRRRING.  (And Catholic)

I broke up with him as soon as we got back to my house after the tacky reception.

Patricia!  WONderful!  I'm forwarding it to Freethought Today, and a lot of other friends.  Thank you!
