This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Don't Despair

Sister Grace at the convent opened a letter from home and found a $100 bill from her parents. She smiled at the gesture. As she read the letter by the window, she noticed a shabbily-dressed stranger leaning against the lamp post below.

Quickly, she wrote, "Don't despair. Sister Grace" on a piece of paper, wrapped the $100 bill in it, and tossed it out the window. The stranger picked it up and read the note. He tipped his hat to Sister Grace and hurried away.

The next day, Sister Grace was told that a man was asking to see her. She went down and found the stranger waiting. Without a word, he handed her a huge wad of $100 bills.

"What's this?" she asked.

"That's your $8,000, sister," he replied. "'Don't Despair' paid 80-to-1."

Amazing, Carl! I never knew Rube Goldberg invented a lightswitch.

Grinning Cat, that's a great idea.  Whatever works best!

Kinda reminds me of this steampunk light switch.

There's another great free app called Hacker's Keyboard that I vastly prefer over the generic Android one.

Speaking of phones and keyboards, on a trip to Massachusetts last week, I took a big, comfortable Bluetooth keyboard along, to my host's great amusement:

Patricia, good stuff there, even if they're cheesy puns! (And 45*'s speeches and lies are indeed grating!)

Joan, as far as I know "thou shalt not steal" applied to kidnapping people of the same tribe. You're right that outsiders were fair game if GodSaidSo.

(And that's a good idea, setting a time limit for trying to find an attribution. In Google image search, it sometimes works for me to use a custom date range, and look for older postings.)

Spud, I've seen phones that will aggressively replace whatever you typed with its autocowreck "suggestion", unless you do something explicit to use your typing as-is. My phone offers two keyboards, and one of the reasons I strongly prefer one (Swype) to the other (Samsung default keyboard) is that it's not so aggressive; 99% of the time it'll offer suggestions but pass through what you wrote, with a few convenient exceptions like uppercasing "i".

Reminds me of one of a series of text exchanges on, allegedly between a mother and her daughter:

"What did you do to my phone?! Whenever I type butt it says butt."

"Why, what did you type?"

Patricia, as is so true to say of you, "You have a very good funny a bone and a sharp eye for cartoons. Thanks, they are a good way to start my day. By-the-way, I like that grater; it looks great for shredding nutmeg and ginger.

Loren, I think your poster fits here, exactly. I like the author's idea and share it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Yea, your end comment is accurate, it is Pithy [a silly grin!].

sSpud, I agree with you on all your comments! It feels good to come to this site and just laugh.
