Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

@Joseph -- The "ick factor" is a cultural/sociological issue, yes. But there are plenty of people who argue that homosexuality is "against nature" based on the fact that two men/two women cannot reproduce and are not equipped for convenient, reproductively-oriented sexual congress. These people are not bible-thumping--they're using the natural sciences to point out that homosexuality is "unnatural." While religion is a huge source of fuel for hating on homosexuality, it hasn't cornered the market.

I let some of the gay-themed humor go because I admit to being on the fence about it, but I'm not inclined to open the doors to all humor that addresses anti-gay themes because it could easily overwhelm the comm. Perhaps there's someone here who would like to take it upon him/herself to start a sister community? (Gaytheist Humor, anyone? :P )

That said, it is my intention to keep the community focus on atheistic, anti-religious themes.

Pretty much. The fact that the only real arguments against homosexuality are religious ones and the ick factor (which is just cultural bias and not a real argument), makes gay rights an Atheist issue.

Perhaps one can say that homosexuality IS a religious issue.

Mike, return ROFL at 'Curing homosexuality'. Ivy, nice one - says it all. Um, question, is humor directed only at gay issues without reference to religion on topic? There've been a few lately and I enjoyed them but ... ?

Mike that was great! "So I walked up to them and I was like, hey gays." Classic!

When are Christians in favor of a secular state?

Comedy Jesus came to Los Angeles this weekend to preach to the atheists. Actually, it wasn't Comedy Jesus who showed up. It was his Alter Ego (or perhaps Altar Ego?) and creator, Troy Conrad. But he did come to preach to the atheists. Sort of.
