Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

And the atheism wasn't the cause of the activities of Pol Pot or Stalin, anyway.  I guess you could get to some negative results through aggressive anti-theism, even if you'd have to stretch it like crazy, but from basic, default atheism, you can't get to any active result.

You have to insert some other ideology or motivation, such as lust for power and the creation of a totalitarian state.  The Christians will say that their religion will prevent the atrocities of those sorts of regimes, but clearly that isn't anything approaching true.

Good point Joseph. I'm so f-ing sick of hearing religionists blame these and similar atrocities on atheism. They conveniently seem to forget about the Inquisition strangely enough.

They'd probably say something about Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot.  Never mind that Hitler wasn't an atheist.

He's generally their go-to, though, since most people in the west know more about him than the other two.

Good one, Grinning Cat.  That pretty much sums it up!

(An atheist, who looks rather like Richard Dawkins, debates a priest in a blue clerical shirt.) “Surely you’re not suggesting that atheists are behind genital mutilation!” “No, I am not.” “Or ritual stonings...” “No.” “Witch burnings...” “No.” “The sexual exploitation of children...” “No.” “The persecution of gays...” “No.” “Holy wars...” “No.” “Opposition to condoms for AIDS prevention...” “No.” “Fatwas...” “No.” “Fear of healthy sexual activities...” “No.” “Money-grubbing, faith-healing charlatans...” “No.” “A faith-based disregard for animal suffering...” “No.” “A morbid fascination with blood sacrifice and atonement...” “No.” “Uncritical thinking...” “No.” “The teaching of creationism...” “No.” “Sectarian strife...” “No.” “The subjugation of women...” “No.” “Well, what on earth is it that you so despise about atheists?” “Your ATHEISM!” (click to enlarge)

I know that lots of guys have a navel fixation of sorts, which is what helped lead to the prevalence of navel piercings.  This is getting a bit weird about it, though.

Besides, if you're going to fill a girl's navel with alcohol, it should be something with a much higher alcohol-content, since you aren't going to get much with each shot.
