Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

The new Jesus and Mo, on the Torah: (click to enlarge)

Jesus, reading the K’RAN, to Mo, together on their couch: “So much of the Koran is just a REHASH of Christian tradition” Mo: “And?” Jesus: “That’s CULTURAL APPROPRIATION, Mo!” Mo: “What are you talking about?” Jesus: “You took that stuff without permission. It’s an act of violence against my IDENTITY. I feel ERASED” Mo: “‘ERASED’? What are you, a PENCIL SKETCH?” Moses, having appeared behind the couch: “Actually, Jesus - much of Christianity is derived from Judaism, so YOU can’t complain“ -- [Doorbell: ding dong!] -- “I’M the one whose culture has been appropriated!” Mo, out of view: “Moses, there’s a bunch of BRONZE AGE CANAANITES at the door - they want a word with you about the TORAH”(h/t Laughing in Disbelief)

Then there are the husband and wife arguing about who should make the morning coffee. She says that he should, and it says so right in the Bible. Sure enough, at the top of several pages: "HEBREWS".

Entrepreneur Alert:  Enterprising brewer needed to supply millions of Xians with "HeBrews" beer! Or maybe a line of "HisBlood" red ripple wines... I can almost hear the bar call: "Four large HeBrews...and a HisBlood for the lady."

Give anyone a choice between suffering and not suffering and only a masochist will choose the former.  Despite Ma. Teresa's assertions to the contrary, there is no demonstrable benefit from suffering.

Once again, Agnes and the RCC are demonstrably full of shit.

The Atheist Pig scored an exclusive interview with the spirit of the sainted Mother Teresa!

Atheist Pig: “Hello everybody. Today we have a special guest. We’re talking to the newly-canonized Mother Teresa who’s appearing in spirit form. Welcome!” Mother Teresa: “Thank you for having me.” AP: “Now, many praise you for the work you did for the poor and sick, but some say that rather than helping, you allowed them to suffer. How do you respond?” MT: “Well, the Church believes, as do I, that there is TREMENDOUS MERIT in suffering. There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains much from their suffering.” AP: “And just what did the world gain from those who suffered in your care?” MT: “It gained a new saint, of course.”(h/t Friendly Atheist, "What the World Gained from Those Who Suffered Under Mother Teresa’s..."; some good comments there!)

This kid found a brilliant new solution to the runaway-train moral quandary:

So we all know the downside of the virgin birth meme is that it's obvious utter bullshit. Can anyone tell me what's supposed to be the upside?

Comment by Joseph P on September 2, 2016 at 5:08pm

The jump to her being a virgin isn't such a wide one, by the standards of mythology.  There were so many mythical heroes who were born from virgins; it makes sense that Jesus would morph into one of those, even without the linguistic assistance.

Funny, the original Hebrew babble, I mean bible, never said Mary was a virgin, only that she was a young girl, so Bellarmine WAS wrong on on both counts.
