Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Love,

--Joe

It sounds like a great place to go and spread the joys of Atheism.

I dunno, man.  The cattle prod actually sounds like a pretty fun idea.

Merde ... it's bad enough that there are language filters on some sites because the moderators are afraid of what children might read.  NOW they want a site with a considerably greater degree of automated censorship.

Need I mention that I wouldn't touch said site with the cyber equivalent of a 10-meter cattle prod?

"Facegloria"?  Really?

So, how many of those 100,000 were forced to join the site by their parents?  How many of those 100,000 are just there to figure out how to break the profanity filter?

Comment by Bertold Brautigan on July 6, 2015 at 9:41am

Here's something heartwarming.

'Sin free Facebook' attracts thousands

A group of Evangelical Christians in Brazil has launched a social network where swearing and erotic content in any form is completely banned.
The creators of Facegloria claim the site has attracted 100,000 members since its launch last month.
There are 600 words which are forbidden on the site and an "Amen" button for expressing appreciation for a post.

I guess we should be ready for lots of stone casting!

Joseph, don't forget the idiot in the Health dept who doesn't believe women need health care.

*groan*

Gee, thanks for reminding me.  I'm gonna go back to bed and curl up in a ball, now.

Now, we have problems that involve disputes over climate change and global warming. Reducing services for the young, the old, the disabled, the unemployed and underemployed continue. The Wealth Gap continues to grow. We need people skilled at debate to argue for these many people, many of whom cannot argue for themselves.

The whole religion thing seems to be coming to a head. Who will win that dispute? The ones who know how to present a convincing argument!

Of course the USA House Science Committee has young Earth creationists in it. A strategy to place such believers into  school boards, municipal, state and federal positions in order to create rules and regulations that supported their position. Remember, years ago, when there was a big debate over the definition of a family as being a man, a woman, and their children? Those people were determined to keep GLBT people out of the family definition. That was in 1975 that I debated them. The young Earth Creationist did get on the school board and did have an effect on how the wording developed for future family definition.

Joseph, don't forget the idiot in the Health dept who doesn't believe women need health care.  (If she dies, it's god swill....)  No matter WHAT the problem is.

Comment by Joseph P on July 5, 2015 at 3:11pm

Hell, many of the members of the House Science Committee are young-earth creationists, and many more than that are global-warming deniers.

Poor Denmark, being brought down to our level.
