Children Exposed To Religion Have Difficulty Distinguishing Fact From Fiction, Study Finds

Young children who are exposed to religion have a hard time differentiating between fact and fiction, according to a new study published in the July issue of Cognitive Science.

This is a study that should be followed up on, perhaps repeated in different cultural settings, both in and out of the United States.  It may not put the last nail in the coffin of religion, but it would definitely further illustrate the deleterious effects religion has on perception and intellect.

Color me surprised.
