A church in Auckland, New Zealand, has irked traditionalists with a billboard showing a shocked Virgin Mary looking at a pregnancy test. The billboard is "about trying to make people think about Christmas and to then think compassionately and kindly about people in a similar situation," the church says.
Imagine this billboard in the U.S. “Irked” would not begin to describe the public reaction.
America is exceptional, all-right. Exceptionally, what?
I like the one from last year - 'God was a hard act to follow!'
Too funny! Imagine Joseph's performance anxiety.
It's hard to imagine anyone being offended by this billboard. It's a modern take on the religion, and respects the faith. Many aspects of religion are re-interpreted across cultures. Like picturing Jesus as a blue-eyed blond - what, was the Holy Spirit Swedish?
