Sometimes people surprise you. When Deepak Chopra, author and promoter of spirituality and mind-body medicine, was on Bill O'Reilly's The O'Reilly Factor early last November, he and Bill-O vied with each other in put downs of famed evolutionary biologist and atheist, Richard Dawkins.
But now the Guru of Woo (scientists and others often complain that Chopra misrepresents physics and quantum mechanics to support his spiritual claims) seems to have had second thoughts about his comments and yesterday (Nov. 30), Chopra released a public apology to Dawkins via Youtube (you can find the video at left).
While he apologized to Dawkins about his personal attack, it would be really nice if he actually apologized about all the bullshit, misinformation, dissembling, and out and out lies he's shoveled out to the gullible. But, I'm not holding my breath. There's still a lot of money to be made from selling snake oil.
Ditto. He should apologize for being such a waste of human flesh.
My first thought was that his most recent books aren't selling well. I usually prefer giving people the benefit of the doubt but Chopra has proven himself to be a media whore and charlatan over and over again. I just see this as another of his ploys to bullshit people and make money
