North Korea Warns it Will Declare 'Sacred War' on South and U.S.

Is religion used to induce people to go to war?  Even North Korea does it! Religion in North Korea is only tolerated, not enthusiastically endorsed. Nonetheless, in an effort to gain the support of the North Korean people for a possible war with the South and U.S. North Korea has taken the position that its part in such a conflict would be sacred in nature.

I would not call North Korea paradise.
You have that right.
It's the People's Paradise. I know this because North Korea says it is.
Yeah, and any time I hear their full, official name, I can't help but chuckle a little giggle like a little schoolgirl. It's quite disturbing, I assure you.
Is it strange that I have a soft spot for Kim Jong Il? He reminds me of a little puppy. I mean... yeah, he's an egotistical maniac. Yes, he needs to lose power.

But before all that happens, I seriously just want the chance to pinch his cheeks... just once...

He does try to make evil look good. You have to give him that much, at least... cute little baby that he is...
I'll talk to him like a baby, too...

"Ah, you so cute! Who's the cute wittle baby? Who's the cute wittle baby? Is it you? Is it you? That's right. Good wittle baby..."

Even though religion is frowned upon in North Korea, there is a "state religion" and Kim Jong Il is regarded as a living deity. I like to point this out when people bring up North Korea as an "atheist nation." As if North Korea is a hotbed of skeptical and rational thought!
If you lived there you would regard him as a living deity to...or else!
