Rabbinical court to dog: "You are a reincarnated lawyer and deserve to die"

One of the judges suddenly recalled that about 20 years ago, a famous secular
lawyer who insulted the court was cursed by the panel of judges, who wished that
his spirit would move on to the body of a dog (considered an impure animal by
Halacha). The lawyer passed away several years ago.....

Still offended, one of the judges sentenced the poor animal to death by
stoning, recruiting the neighborhood's children to carry out the order. Luckily,
the dog managed to escape.

PZ Myers' Pharyngula blog has a pretty good post on this story

HIlarious.  Thanks.
Ha, that does sound like a joke: So, this dog walks into a Rabbinical court....
Dude! Why didn't the lawyer use a golem, like a normal spirit?
I second this position.
More idiocy from people whose minds are warped by superstition and nonsense. What fucking century are these people living in?
If it's a Rabbinical court, I can only assume Israel.

Haha! Century not country!

Ah, detail.  I still wonder about that, though.  I didn't think Jews particularly bought into reincarnation of any sort.
Don't ask for it to make sense Joseph.
I expect complete insanity from religious leaders, but I expect a little better from judges.
